When you play online video poker the goal is to hit the royal flush. Do you know the exact percentages of just how often you should expect to hit the royal? What about getting four of a kind or a full house? Let’s look at the video poker percentages.

You already know that getting a Royal Flush is rare. The odd are actually 650,000 to 1 of getting a Royal Flush. Getting a straight flush is also rare with the odds of about 9,000 to 1. You may be lucky and beat those odds or it may take longer. Getting a four of a kind is a lot more common as the odds are 423-1 in getting four of a find. It is tougher to get four aces with the odds at about 5,700 to 1.

The four most common occurrences are the straight, flush and Full House. The odds on getting a straight are about 80-1, a flush about 85-1 and a Full House at 90-1.

You should always be aware of the odds of getting an exact card to make you a winner. The odds of turning that one pair into a three of a kind are 9-1. The odds of turning two pair into a Full House are 12-1. Turning a three of a kind into a Full House is 16-1.

How about the odds of completing that flush or straight? If you need one card to complete the flush the odds are 5-1 of you getting it. If you need two cards to complete the flush the odds are 24-1 of getting both cards. Completing a straight if it is open ended is 6-1 but 12-1 if it is an inside straight.
